This splash is a great little cymbal. I recieved it today in the mail, its a lot smaller then i thought it would be. it says on it that its made in germany but it sounds almost a little bit chinese. the sound is pretty good. fast accent, no ring to it, which is good for a splash. and the price is unbeatle. where else can you get a new splash for 20 bucks? Yes yes yes, zildjian and sabian and paiste's are better but at 140 bucks id rather have 7 of these things. go ahead and buy it its nice.

This cymbal seems to be sturdy enough, but the tone... man, the tone just sucks. Seriously, I think a hammered out soup can might sound better. My teenage son bought this to add to his set- he's been playing for a couple years and is on a young teenage budget, so a high-end cymbal was out of his price range. We read the reviews here and decided to take a chance on it. We were both disappointed.
I know "you get what you pay for" and I wasn't expecting greatness, but based on the reviews, I was expecting more than we got. I give it two stars because it does seem sturdy and it's such a bargain price. But my recommendation to any drummers on a budget, looking to add this because it's a steal-- Don't. Save the money and put it towards something better. Even at the rock bottom price, it's not a steal. The tone really is that bad. It's very much for a beginner set. It's something to bang on, but a developed ear will soon be using it to prop up that short leg on the table.

A great sounding little splash for very little money. I like it better than my more expensive splash cymbals. Just buy it.
