This item, at first, seemed to be a perfect upgrade to a previous children's drum set. The very first day, my son busted the "floor tom" head, and also broke the right-most "rack mount tom" mount. I was able to put a screw and wing-nut through the broken mount and drum, which lasted for about two days. The mounting system itself is insufficient for, likely, many children. There are no screws, bolts, nuts, or any traditional strong fastener system. The drums are held to the frame by light molded plastic that will break before bending even a little.
BUT, if you have a child who is not rough on toys, this set may be perfect. The price is right, but only if it last longer than a few days.

My son received this as a present for his 2nd birthday. He loved it, but by the end of the next day the symbol had broken off and by the end of the week the cheap clips to hold the drums on had broken. Not long after the plastic started coming out of the drums themselves. The only part of this set worth paying for is the stool. Absolutely awful. Do not buy!

So I purchased this for my sons 1 yr birthday and he can't stay off of them! His best gift and favorite! Not so much fun for me but it makes me happy to see the smile on his face and the flow in his eyes when playing! I love it!
